Our Story
Caudwell Marine was founded with a mission to elevate the standards of marine propulsion and provide an outboard system that commercial operators can truly rely on. Our founder, entrepreneur and philanthropist John Caudwell, built his legacy by creating world-class businesses rooted in quality, innovation, long-term value, and a commitment to customer needs. This same philosophy drives Caudwell Marine today.
From our UK headquarters and dedicated Test & Development Centre, we have assembled a team of marine experts, engineers, and designers to develop propulsion systems that directly address the everyday challenges vessel operators encounter. Our aim is straightforward: to deliver outboard systems which thrive in the harshest conditions, lower lifetime operating costs, and earn the confidence of those who depend on them.
John is committed to giving at least 70 % of his wealth to charitable causes during and after his lifetime.

Appointed in 2024, Sarah brings decades of automotive leadership, including CEO of Porsche GB. She is driving the launch of the AX300 Diesel with clear focus and proven expertise in bringing new products to market.

Technical Operations Director
Scott leads Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality, ensuring operational excellence as we move into full production. With past involvement in the AX300 Diesel’s early development at Cosworth, he brings unique insight and leadership.

Commercial Director
With a solid background in complex and premium system solutions, where service is a defining factor, Peter leads Sales, Customer Support, and Marketing, building the commercial strength behind Caudwell Marine’s product launch and growth.

Procurement Director
