Celebrating the First Year of the Caudwell Marine Graduate Programme

Caudwell Marine graduate

At Caudwell Marine, we believe in investing in people as much as we invest in technology. A year ago, two ambitious graduates, Niamh and Luke, joined the Caudwell Marine Graduate Programme with a shared excitement about being part of something new, bold, and built differently.

Why they chose the Caudwell Marine graduate programme

For both, the decision to join Caudwell Marine came from the same place: the opportunity to grow within a young company that is on the cusp of redefining marine propulsion. As Niamh put it, “It is such a unique position to be in and one that I couldn’t pass up.” Luke echoed this, saying that working in a start-up environment gave him the chance to learn directly from experienced people and see how decisions shape the business.

Niamh and Luke’s first year highlights

Their first year on the Caudwell Marine Graduate Programme has been filled with highlights. For Niamh, it was her first introduction to the world of marine propulsion – discovering just how powerful and complex outboards really are and learning every day from our skilled teams. She especially enjoyed spending time with our Test and Development team in Lowestoft, seeing our product in action and gaining first-hand experience of what makes the AX300 Diesel outboard unique.

Luke’s standout moments came from building connections worldwide at industry shows, speaking directly with marine professionals and understanding the value the AX300 Diesel will bring when it launches. These conversations reinforced his confidence that our product has the potential to change the game for operators who demand more from their propulsion systems.

Lessons learned for both Niamh and Luke

Of course, the first year also brought important lessons. Both discovered the value of making mistakes and learning from them. For Niamh, it built confidence in her own abilities. For Luke, it built resilience and problem-solving skills that will serve him as his responsibilities grow.

When asked about the team around them, their answers were clear: Caudwell Marine is full of people who are supportive, driven, and committed to the same goal. Whether in engineering, production, or testing, every team shares the same determination to deliver reliability and performance that operators can depend on.

Looking ahead to year two

Looking ahead to year two, both are excited. For Luke, the upcoming AX300 Diesel launch and the chance to take it to global industry shows is a once-in-a-career opportunity. For Niamh, it’s the unexpected challenges that lie ahead – the chance to build new skills and continue to grow as the company evolves.

At Caudwell Marine, our people and our product are deeply connected. Just as the AX300 Diesel outboard is built to deliver consistency, confidence, and commitment in the toughest marine environments, we are proud to build a team that embodies those very same values.
